Isolated guitar splitter / Di box

The N-audio Isolated guitar splitter / DI box is a multifunctional device that can be used for many situations when you need a galvanically isolation between two audio devices. The unit can be used with a guitar, a bass guitar, a synth or any line level signal sources like preamps, computer audio interfaces or the outputs from a mixing desk. Unlike a typical passive transformer isolated guitar splitter, this unit has a high impedance FET input buffer a high current transformer driver and two independent galvanically isolated balanced TRS outputs. The heart of this guitar splitter is a high-quality audio transformer. It electrically isolates both outputs, eliminating the possibility of ground loops, and gives you an excellent common mode rejection ratio (CMRR). Each output has an independent ground lift switch. Output B also has a phase reverse switch. The well optimized compact size of the splitter can be placed almost everywhere in your pedalboard.  This unit works well with any voltage between 9 and 18VDC. The internal DC protection will protect the unit against AC voltage or reverse polarity voltage. As a part of your pedalboard, it can be powered by a 9VDC source. For higher headroom and high-level studio signals, 18VDC supply is preferred.

The N-audio Isolated guitar splitter / Di box is a very flexible unit and could be used in many variations. Here are a couple of them:

As a guitar splitter for two amps, combos or recording
Sending a signal to two amplifiers or to a mixing desk generates ground loops and a transformer based unit like this splitter fixes that issue. The extra phase switch will help to match the phase of both devices if necessary.

As an active DI box
A few examples showing how to get the high impedance signal from the guitar to a device with line level input. This unit works also great with synthesizers and fixes the ground issues with their swichmode power supplies.

As a line level signal isolator
When you need to galvanically isolate two audio devices, this Splitter DI-box will do the right job. It can be used for reamping guitars as well.

As a guitar buffer
Long guitar cables can roll off the high frequencies, because it has capacitance. Placing this unit next to the guitar will buffer the signal, will keep the tone when you have to run long cables on stage.
